Welcome to Zetwal AI (“Zetwal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account data: email address, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register.
  • Profile data: optional avatar image you upload.
  • Audio content: recordings, enhanced audio files, and mixed sessions you create within the app and store in your cloud library.
  • Payment data: billing details processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles payment data under their own privacy policy.
  • Communications: messages you send to our support team.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: features you use, actions you perform, session duration, and crash reports.
  • Device data: device model, operating system, app version, and audio hardware information needed to configure recording modes.
  • Log data: IP addresses, request timestamps, and HTTP status codes recorded by our servers for security and diagnostics.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Google Sign-In: if you choose to authenticate via Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Stripe: we receive payment confirmation events and customer IDs from Stripe to activate subscriptions and credit balances.
  • ElevenLabs: audio files you submit for AI enhancement are processed by ElevenLabs APIs. Please review ElevenLabs’ Privacy Policy for details on how they handle submitted audio.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including processing AI enhancement requests.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription and credit balance.
  • Send transactional emails such as account verification, password resets, and payment receipts.
  • Respond to your support requests and improve the Service.
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve performance and user experience.
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and security threats.
  • Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers: third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (Stripe for payments, ElevenLabs for AI processing, cloud hosting providers). These vendors are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Legal requirements: if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process (e.g. court order or government request).
  • Protection of rights: when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zetwal AI, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and associated data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Audio files stored in your cloud library are deleted immediately upon account deletion.

Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics that do not identify you personally may be retained indefinitely for product analytics.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit.
  • Passwords hashed with bcrypt (12 rounds) — we never store plaintext passwords.
  • JWT access tokens with short expiry (15 minutes) and rotating refresh tokens stored securely in our database.
  • Rate limiting on all API endpoints to prevent abuse.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: update or correct inaccurate data via your profile settings or by contacting us.
  • Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated personal data. See our Account Deletion page for instructions.
  • Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: object to certain types of data processing.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
